This page describes what this website actually collects, where that information goes, and who to ask about it. It is written to match how the site is built, not copied from a template.

Who we are
The company behind this website
This website is operated by Hills Tankers Pty Ltd, ABN 17 065 209 707, a family owned bulk fuel and liquids transport company with its head office at 26 Yilen Close, Beresfield NSW 2322. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
In practice, the people reading what you send through this site are our office team at Beresfield: the same people who answer the phone, quote freight, run the truck wash diary and shortlist drivers.

What this website collects, and why
Here is every field our enquiry and expression of interest forms ask for, and what we do with it.

Where a form submission goes
When you press send, your enquiry goes into a secure enquiry store run for us on Cloudflare's infrastructure, where our office team picks it up and follows it up directly. Submissions pass through anti-spam checks (including a hidden trap that only automated bots fill in) before they reach us.
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your matter and maintain normal business records, then removed.
If you attach a CV or file
Attached files are stored privately and are automatically deleted from file storage 30 days after upload. Our system also makes a short automated text summary of each attachment so the person handling your enquiry can read it quickly; that summary stays with your enquiry.
If you'd like your CV considered beyond 30 days, mention it in your message and we'll keep a copy on file directly.
Visit counting
How we count visits without following you
We count page views on our own server, at the moment a page is requested, rather than running an analytics script in your browser. Each page view is recorded as a single anonymous tally entry:
- The page that was viewed
- The website that referred you here, if any (the site's name only, never the full address)
- The country the visit came from
- Whether the visit came from a phone, tablet or desktop
Because the counting happens on the server, there is nothing for you to switch off and nothing that follows you to another website. As built, this site's visit counting involves:
- No cookies set in your browser for tracking or analytics
- No Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics script
- No advertising trackers or social media pixels
- No stored IP addresses in our visit statistics
- No profile of you as an individual visitor
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical connection details such as your IP address in the ordinary course of delivering pages and defending against attacks. We don't keep that information in our statistics.

What we do with your information
Answering you
We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, quote your freight, book your wash or consider your expression of interest. That's the whole job of this website.
Never sold, never rented
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We don't add you to a marketing list; this site doesn't have one.
Disclosed only when required
We disclose personal information only to the service providers below, or where the law requires it (for example a court order).

This site also links out to Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Maps and Seek. Once you follow a link to another website, that site's own privacy policy applies. We don't embed their trackers in our pages.
Your rights: access, correction, deletion
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we don't need it for a legal or business-record reason. Email enquiries@hillstankers.com.au or call 02 4918 5888 and we'll deal with it directly.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website collects or uses information (for example, if we ever add a newsletter or new form), we'll update this page to match before the change goes live, and update the date at the top.
This policy describes the website. Customers, suppliers and employees may be given additional privacy information relevant to their dealings with us.
