Our newest depot and our first in South Australia, open since 2025, at 10-16 Churchill Rd North, Dry Creek. We haven't published a direct phone line for it yet, so for now every Adelaide enquiry runs through one door: our Beresfield head office.

Established 2025 · First SA depot
Open seven months early
Adelaide is the newest name on a depot list that started with one Maitland fuel distributorship in 1960. As we shared on LinkedIn when the gates opened, the depot came online seven months ahead of schedule, built around a new contract with Viva Energy and OTR.
It's our first depot in South Australia, and it runs the same way every Hills depot has since the start: modern gear, trained fuel drivers, and one operations desk at Beresfield doing the quoting and scheduling for the whole network.
This page is short on purpose. Rather than pad it with detail we haven't published, we'll add the depot's direct phone line and photos here as they're released. Until then, head office answers every Adelaide question.
Service-station fuel delivery: the trade Hills Tankers has run since 1960.
The network
Since 1960, one depot at a time
We don't open depots often, and we don't open them lightly. Each one on this list was built around real contracted work, and Adelaide is no different.
Every depot runs under the one system: the same fleet standard, the same dangerous-goods disciplines and the same Beresfield operations desk. A litre moved out of Adelaide is handled the way a litre out of the Hunter has been for decades.
- 1960
Paul and Netta Hill purchase the Maitland Esso Distributorship: the first depot.
- 2007
Brisbane established, with a focus on aviation products.
- 2011
Expansion to Mackay.
- 2015
The Hunter operation moves into the purpose-built 40,000 square metre Beresfield head office.
- 2021
Townsville established, servicing the east coast out to the NT border and Gulf Country.
- 2025
Adelaide established: the first Hills Tankers depot in South Australia.
For SA customers
What you can call on
The service lines below are company-wide, and every one of them is quoted and scheduled from head office, wherever the truck rolls out. Tell us what needs moving; we'll tell you how we'd move it.
Bulk fuel haulage
Petroleum products from terminal to service station, farm, mine or airport, in single semis through to A-Doubles and road trains.
Fuel haulage →Dangerous goods
Licensed DG cartage run by trained, DG-licensed drivers under chain of responsibility disciplines.
Dangerous goods →Bulk liquids
Liquid cargoes beyond fuel, carried in tanker equipment maintained by our own workshop.
Bulk liquids →Driving for Hills out of Adelaide
When Adelaide needs drivers, the ad appears on Seek with the hourly rate printed in it, and the ads describe the hiring as supporting ongoing contract expansion. Fuel experience helps but isn't essential: training is paid and done properly. Not hiring today? Lodge an expression of interest so the next SA seat can find you.
Quick answers
Adelaide, straight up
Where exactly is the depot?
The Adelaide depot is at 10-16 Churchill Rd North, Dry Creek, SA 5094. We haven't published a direct phone line for it yet, so for anything that needs a person, call head office on 02 4918 5888 and we'll point you at the right one straight away.
Is the depot actually operating?
Yes. It opened in 2025, seven months ahead of the schedule we'd set ourselves, and Adelaide driver roles have been advertised on Seek since. This page is thin because the published details are thin, not because the depot is.
Can I get fuel or liquids moved in South Australia?
Ask us. Every freight enquiry, SA included, is quoted and scheduled by the operations team at Beresfield: one desk, one answer, whichever depot the work runs from. Start with the freight enquiry form.
